Awards and scholarships are not what brings people to be Law Enforcement Explorers, but their existence does create opportunities to display proof of competence and confidence. The focus is on learning and teamwork, with awards and scholarships a secondary objective and an opportunity for personal challenge.

Awards:

Proficiency Awards These are awards that Explorers may earn to reflect training activities.

Career Achievement Award This award is a combination of multiple activities and is a self-selected project

Leadership Award This award is open to Explorers and to Post Leaders

Congressional Award This award is primarily for community service and is a self-selected project. Do meet with one of the Post Advisors to plan and coordinate this. The award is presented by a Senator or member of Congress.

Young American Award This is a competitive award, given at the national level, for a cash award.

Scholarships:

Scholarships are all competitive, each for $1,000. Work with one of the Post Advisors if interested in pursuing any or all of these. Each requires examples of leadership, community service, and a recommendation from our Post.
